RENTALS
We work with some great rental stores in Queenstown so make sure you have everything booked to hit the slopes as soon as you arrive! Jump online and book as soon as you can, rentals will sell out and you want to avoid disappointment!! Check out the different stores below:
NZSki is a great option if you’re looking to go straight up the mountain and collect your rentals at the base building before jumping on the chairlift! Helmets are included in each ski and snowboard rental (subject to availability upon collection). Jacket and Pants rentals are sold separately and must be booked with either a ski/snowboard set.
Quest is an awesome place to go and grab your kit. Their amazing team will fit your gear and get you prepped for the slops in no time! They offer Helmet, Jacket and Pants rentals that are all sold separately, and must be booked with their ski and snowboard sets. Note the collection location for these rentals is in town, on Shotover Street and you can pick up your rentals the day prior to going up the mountain.
Browns are experts in the field, offering high-quality equipment to make sure you have the best time on the mountain. They are located on Brecon St. in central Queenstown where you can collect your equipment. Browns offer Helmet, Jacket and Pants rentals that are all sold separately; they must be booked with skis/snowboard. You can pick up your rentals the day prior to going up the mountain.
Outside Sports offers great quality equipment to make sure you have an amazing time on the slopes! They are located on Shotover Street right in the middle of town for all collections. Outside Sports also offers Helmet rentals separately; these must be purchased with a ski/snowboard set. You can pick up your rentals the day prior to going up the mountain.
Torpedo7 offers a wide range of equipment, so there’s something for everyone, no matter your ability! Helmets are also available for hire, but must be purchased with a ski/snowboard set. The pickup location for this store is on Shotover Street opposite the Station Building. You can pick up your rentals the day prior to going up the mountain.
If you are looking to rent Jackets and Pants, make sure to book through NZSki, Quest or Browns.
How to Book:
- Choose your rental store based on your requirements
- Select either ski or snowboard rentals
- Select how many days you would like the rentals for. PLEASE NOTE! Rental days are consecutive so bear this in mind if you are planning to have a day off the mountain!
- Make sure to fill in all the required fields. This information helps the rental companies reserve equipment that’s perfect for you!
- Make sure to add your Helmet/Jacket/Pants to your order. These add-ons must be purchased at the same time as your skis/snowboard and must be from the same rental store. If you have forgotten to add anything to your order, contact the Snow Machine Team to request any changes.
- Once you’ve booked, you’re ready to go!

NZSki RentalsBOOK NOWNZSki manages the ski fields at both The Remarkables and Coronet Peak, so is a great place to collect your rentals up the mountain! Their experienced team will help fit you in your equipment to get you on the snow as fast as possible.
