Snow Monkeys Tour

The famous Snow Monkeys are a must see when in Japan! Located in the Jigokudani valley of Yamanouchi, the Japanese Macaque live naturally among the forest and snow. Jigokudani Yaen-Koen (Snow Monkey Park) is the only place in the world where you can see these amazing creatures bathing in hot springs and you can access it in under 2 hours from Hakuba.

The monkeys are naturally curious and given access to foods better than those of which they can find in the wild and are free to leave and return when they please. While it is prohibited to feed or touch the Monkeys, you are given an unique opportunity to witness the peculiar social interactions and observe them from bare metres away.

We are hosting exclusive Snow Machine half day tours on 2nd and 3rd of March so you can get all the monkey madness without the hassle. We’ll even drop you off at the festival after before the events kick off!

Cost: ¥7000 ($100 AUD)

Includes:
– 7am pick up from Echoland, Happo & Wadano
– Direct transfer the Snow Monkey Park
– Park entry fees
– 1pm drop off at the respective festival resort.
