Ladies, join one of Japan’s most beautiful and elegant experiences by dressing up in real, colourful, floral Kimonos. After picking out one that suits you best, a teacher will help you tie the traditional knots giving you the most authentic Japanese Kimono experience. Followed by a tea ceremony and some origami, take the time to snap some dazzling photos in one of Japan’s oldest residential houses, boasting elegant traditional architecture.
Taiko Drum Tour:
Hear the sound of one of Japan’s oldest indigenous folklore’s dating back almost 1400 years. From elementary students to masters of the Otari Village, this is an authentic cultural experience that will get your heart racing. Witness the spectacular fast paced performance derived from traditional Japanese martial arts while you also drum along with the Otari Daiko.
Sushi Cooking Class:
Love Japanese food? Dig into an authentic Japanese culinary experience guided by a traditional Japanese Chef who will teach you the art of hand-rolling Sushi and folding Gyoza. You’ll even get to enjoy your creations for lunch!
Not a fan of skiing or boarding? You can still soak in the worlds fluffiest snow as you wander through the fields of Iwatake. Accompanied by your local your guide, walk through the breath taking white forest and enjoy some tea to warm you up! Itoigawa Seafood: Taste the freshest sashimi Hakuba has to offer at the Itoigawa Fish Markets! Taking place in the Tanimura Art Museum, lunch will be crafted from the best seasonal seafood hand-picked by the chef. After visiting the Hakusan Shire and Benten Rock you’ll head to the fish martkets where you can pick up some gourmet souvenirs!

Need to rest those ski legs? Jump on one of Hakuba’s most thrilling experiences and ride the fresh snow on a Snow Mobile! Go tandem or drive your own, exploring the foothills of the Japanese Alps and catching some epic scenery.
A trip to Nagano wouldn’t be complete without catching the Snow Monkeys! Located in the Jigokudani valley of Yamanouchi, the Japanese Macaque live naturally amoung the forests and snow. Endearingly nic named ‘Snow Monkeys’, Jigokudani Yaen-Koen (Snow Monkey Park) is the only place in the world where you can see these amazing creatures bathing in hot springs.
The monkeys are naturally curious and given access to foods better than those of which they could find in the wild and are free to leave and return when they please. While it is prohibited to feed or touch the Monkeys, you are given an unique opportunity to witness the peculiar social interactions and observe them from bare metres away.
Snow Machine are hosting exclusive half day tours during the 2nd and 3rd of March so you can get all the monkey maddness without the hassel. We’ll even drop you off at the festival after!
